Our aim was to develop a navigation ruler that offers more functionality than competing products — at a lower price. The unique, transparent, sturdy MR-1 Diversion Plotter was born.

The compact MR-1 assists both students and experienced pilots in plotting courses using topographical charts under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions. It’s one of the most recognised plotters for pilots undertaking the Light Aircraft Private Pilot Licence (LAPL), PPL(A) or PPL(H), and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) courses.

Nautical Mile Ruler + Speed/Time Conversion

MR-1 Diversion Ruler’s outside edges measure distances of up to 40 nautical miles (20 x 6.5cm), scaled at both 1:500,000 and 1:250,000. Therefore it’s perfect for both plane and helicopter pilots.

The scratch-proof speed/time conversion table in the centre measures 70kts – 160kts, and removes the need for mental calculations during the Planning and Diversion subjects of the Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) syllabus.

Compass Rose

The in-built 50mm Compass Rose makes it easy to establish true track baring. The 5 and 10 degree markers allow pilots to mark out fan lines — a technique which assists students on corrections when off track.
